Instead of shouting for help or trying to protect yourself, you are busy identifying the attacker—the idea creates humour.

According to me, The reason might be that to be stay alert and not tease this innocent animals without their mistake.... this type of fear may keep away the human from going near animals and teasing them, just for fun. That's poet have putten the identity of wild animals in fearful or we can say dangerous image infront of human. so they can live their life peacefully.
