Indian states can be divided into the following zones (based on their location).

North Western India (Chandigarh,Haryana,Himachal Pradesh,Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab)

Norther India (Delhi,Uttar Pradesh,Uttarakhand)

Western India (Dadra Nagar Haveli,Daman and Dui,Gujurat,Maharashtra and Rajasthan)

Central India (Madhya Pradesh,Chattisgarh)

Eastern India (Bihar,Jharkand,Orissa,Sikkim,West Bengal)

North Eastern India (Arunachal Pradesh,Asaam,Manipur,Meghalaya,Mizoram and Nagaland)

Souther India (Andhra Pradesh,Goa,Karnataka,Kerala,Puducherry,Tamil Nadu)....
