Answer:

The range of human hearing is generally considered to be 20 Hz to 20 kHz, but it is far more sensitive to sounds between 1 kHz and 4 kHz. For example, listeners can detect sounds as low as 0 dB SPL at 3 kHz, but require 40 dB SPL at 100 hertz (an amplitude increase of 100).

Hz = herts

1 hert = 1 vibration per second

Human can hear 20hz to 20000hz vibrations. More that 20000hz and less than 20hz vibrations can't be heard by humans. They are called ultrasonic and infrasonic sounds respectively.

A human baby can hear sounds of 25000hz also but as the age rises, sensitivity of ear gets lower.

Fun fact

Bats not only can hear more than 20000hz vibrations but can also produce.
