Power of a lens is the ability of a lens to converge (or diverge) a parallel beam of rays parallel to its axis. The tangent of the angle of deviation of the refracted ray from the incident ray is called the power.
Power of a lens P = 1/f where f = focal length in meters.
so f = 1/P where P is expressed in Diopters.
