LEUCOPLASTS ARE A TYPE OF PLASTIDS IN PLANT.THEIR PRIMARY FUNCTION IS STORAGE OF STARCH,LIPDS AND PROTEINS.THEY ARE COLOURLESS.HOWEVER IN MANY PLANTS THEY PERFORM BIOSYNTHETIC FUNCTIONS LIKE SYNTHESIS OF FATTY ACIDS AND AMINO ACIDS.
