Hi .

here is your answer.

As we know endoplasmic reticulum have 2 parts i.e.

RER ( ROUGH ENDOPLASMIC RETICULUM )

SER ( SMOOTH ENDOPLASMIC RETICULUM )

So,

Smooth endoplasmic reticulum are present in all animals cells.

it is also present in human liver .

It plays very important role of detoxification in liver.

The chemical substances which can kill or harm to animals body it prevents the entry of this harmful chemicals.

It also helps in conversion of glycogen into glucose .

It also helps in synthesis of lipids and harmones.

hope it helps you ☺

Answer:

Large levels of smooth ER are present in liver cells, and one of these proteins' primary jobs is to detoxify waste products from normal metabolism as well as excessive amounts of ethanol from excessive alcohol use and barbiturates from drug overdoses.

Explanation:

  • Both eukaryotic animal and plant cells contain the organelle known as the endoplasmic reticulum. It frequently takes the form of the two connected sub-compartments known as rough ER and smooth ER.
  • Both kinds are made up of linked, flattened tubes with a membrane around them.
  • Millions of membrane-bound ribosomes adorn the rough ER, which is involved in the manufacture, folding, quality assurance, and despatch of certain proteins.
  • The production of steroid hormones, lipid (fat) metabolism, and smooth ER are primarily linked. Additionally, it serves as a detoxifier.
