Spray pumps are commonly used in household gardens, to spray insecticide or water evenly on plants.

Such spray pumps work on the basis of pressure differential and range from handy size to those which can be strapped on to the back.

Air is forced in to the container using a pump at the top of the container. This creates high pressure within the container. An outlet trigger, when pressed, releases this water which is under pressure, in a fine mist or spray.
