Sublimation is the process in which a solid turns directly into gas without passing into liquid state. The solids having very weak intermolecule forces have a higher vapour pressure than usual due to which these solids pass directly into vapour.

Sublimation is used by chemists for purification of compounds. It is also used in forensic science. Sublimation is used in frost- free refrigeration.

HOPE it helps!!!!!
