《ELECTRIC MOTOR 》

●Electric motor
☆Electric motor converts electrical energy into mechanical energy .

●Principle
☆Motor is based on the factor that a current carrying conductor placed perpendicular to the magnetic field experience a force .

●Armature coil
☆It consists of a single loop of insulated copper wire in the form of rectangle ABCD

●Strong Magnetic field
☆The armature coil is placed between pole pieces of strong magnet which provides is strong magnetic field .

●Spilt Ring Commutator
☆It consists of two halves of metallic ring are r1 and r2 the two ends of armature coil are connected to these two houses of the Rings commutator reverse the direction of current in the coil .

●Brushes
☆Two B1 and B2 are pressed against the commutator these brushes actor seconded between the commutator and terminal of battery .
