Given:

AaBb is a male having colorblind and has hypertrichosis.

To Find:

We have to find the probability of AaBb colorblind a male having hypertrichosis to produce sperm aBy genetic constitution.

Solution:-

Probability of y:

The alleles Y and y can split in 2 ways i.e Y or y. Therefore there are 2 possible outcomes.

\therefore Probability\, of\, occurrence \,of\, y= \frac{no.\,of\,times\, y\,appeared}{total\,no.\,of\,outcomes}=\frac{1}{2}

Probability of aB:

The genotype AaBb can split in 4 ways i.e. AB, ab, Ab, aB. Therefore there are four possible outcomes.

\thereforeProbability\, of\, occurrence \,of\, aB= \frac{no.\,of\,times\, aB\,appeared}{total\,no.\,of\,outcomes}=\frac{1}{4}

Since we only need the Probability of the combination aBy, we will multiply the probability of y with the probability of aB.

Probability\, of\, the \,combination\, aBy= \frac{1}{2}\times\frac{1}{4}=\frac{1}{8}

\therefore The probability of aBy genetic constitution is \frac{1}{8}.
