• When we rolled two dice the total numbers of possible outcomes is 36.

A sum of 9 is obtained by the following cases i.e (3,6), (4,5), (5,4) and (6,3)

Therefore the required probability , P = 4/36 which gives 1/9.

Thus the probability of getting a sum of 9 from two throw dice is 1/9.

• There are mainly three ways for the sum of the dice to be (4,6), (5,5) and (6,4).Therefore there are only 3 combination. so, the probability of getting 10 from the two throw dice is 3/36 i.e 1/12.
