Given : Numbers 1 to 100

To Find :  probability of the event that a number chosen from 1 to 100 is a even number

1️⃣ 1/6

2️⃣ 1/3

3️⃣ 1/2

4️⃣ 0

Solution:

Numbers 1 to 100

n(S) = 100

Even numbers are the numbers divisible by 2

Even  numbers from 1 to 100

E is the Event of choosing even number

E = {2 , 4 , 6 , ... , 98 , 100}

n(E) =  50

P(E) = n(E)/n(S)

= 50/100

= 1/2

the probability of the event that a number chosen from 1 to 100 is a even number is 1/2

Hence correct option is 3️⃣ 1/2
