a dice has 6 faces marked 1,2,3,4,5,6 on it.
Even numbers in a dice are 2,4 and 6.

it means the possible number of outcomes are 3.(2,4,6)

And the total no. of outcomes are 6.(1,2,3,4,5,6)

So,
the probability of throwing an even number is-

Probability for an event=possible outcomes/Total outcomes.

=3/6
PROBABILITY=1/2

Let’s take the sample space as 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6

In mathematical order

             Sample space = {1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6}

     So, n(s) = 6

   Then we are taking the amount of even Number we get as A = {2, 4, 6} so which gives n(a) = 3

     And thus p(A) = n(A)/n(s) = 3/6 = 1/2

So the answer we get is 1/2, see it’s easy!
