What is the problem with nij cultivation

The problems with nij cultivation were :-
1)Only small plots scattered over the landscape could be re-acquired.
2) Land became infertile,no other crop could not be grown due to plantation of indigo.
3)Planters needed large areas in compact blocks to cultivate indigo in large plantation.
4)They tried to get the land on lease around the indigo factory by evicting the peaseants.
5)Labours was also not easy to mobilize.

:-indigo could be grown and cultivated only on flat fertile land which was already densely populated
:- Only small plots scattered over the landscape could be re-acquired.
:-land became infertile , no other crop could be grown due to plantation of indigo..
