Process of transplantation in agriculture:

• Transplanting is the procedure of transferring a fully grown seedling (or mature plant) and replanting it in a stable location for the growing season.  

• Transplanting is a significant part of agribusiness in northern typical weather as it extends the flowering or fruit-bearing season of many plants.

Examples:

Crops of paddy and tomatoes are examples of crops that are grown by the transplantation process.

In agriculture and gardening transplanting is the technique of moving a plant from one location to another . Most often this take the from of starting a plant from seed in optimal condition, such as in a greenhouse or protect nursery bed ,then replanting it in another usually outdoor,growing location .This is common in market gardening and truck farming ,where are setting out or planting out are synonymous with transplanting .In the horticulture of some ornamental plants, transplants are used in frequently and carefully because they carry with them a significant risk of killing the plants .

Transplantation has a variety of application, including :

1. Extending the growing seed by starting plants indoors before outdoor condition are favourable.

2.Protecting young plants from disease and pests until they are Sufficiently estabilize.

3. Avoiding germination problem by setting out seedlings instead of direct seeding

Different species and varieties react differently to transplanting for some it is not recommended in all cases avoiding transplant shok- the stress or damaged received in the process is the principle conserve plants raised in protected conditions usually need a period of acclimatization, known as hardening off (see also frost hardiness) also root distribute it should be - the stage of growth at which transplanting takes place the weather condition during transplantation and treatment .
