In the given problem we have to find what happens when Ethyne AND  TOLLENS Reagent react with each other.

Ammonical silver nitrate is known as Tollen's reagent.

C2H2+2AgNO3+2NH4OH gives Ag2C2+2NH4NO3+2H2O

What happens basically in this reaction is that the hydrogen attached to the carbon in C2H2 is acidic hydrogen, tollens reagent attacks on the carbon containing acidic hydrogen and the joins with that carbon forming silver acetylide.
