The most accurate way to sow seeds is by the use of seed drill. A seed drill is a machine, that sows seeds with proper distance from each other and in a depth so that they cannot be washed away.

The seeds should be sown properly to grow healthy crops. They have to be sown:-
● at the right depth
If seeds are sown very deep in the soil, they may not grow due to the lack of air. And if they are sown too close to the soil, birds will eat them
● at right intervals
If seeds are sown very close to each other, the plants which grow from them may not get enough sunlight, water and nutrients. And if they are sown too far apart, space is wasted.
How are seeds sown?
They can be scattered over the field by hand- a process called broadcasting. But it is not efficient because it cannot ensure proper spacing between seeds or help sow them at the right depth.
a better way is to use a seed-drill.
