in this present situation it is less than 5 percent. it is ironical that the amount of women in the legislature is decreasing every ruling years.

the original percentage of seats reserved for women is 10-15%.

measures have taken to promote it were:-

 > every political party must have at least 5% of seats reserved for women.

 > even in the third tier of govt. the seats have been reserved for women to         .    promote women empowerment
