an alloy is better than the constituent metals or non metals like in cases of resistance to corrosion, electric conduction, appearance... and so on

the purpose of preparing and all is to strength the material.
in the case case of electric city it is used for increasing the resistance for example lead and Tin alloy is used for making electric fuse..
