Here the purposes of rural banks:

1. loan

almost every pharma wanted to take a loan for agriculture land. no doubt these loan taker didn't take a loan in crores, it varies from one lakh to 10 lakh only points in some areas the condition is very worst, there are village goons/defaulters who did not get to repay the loan. As the government is waving off the loan of farmers in various States, so these are also in the hope of long wavier.

2. Government pension schemes

government has announced pension of rupees 2,000 to old people in the village. So all the old man gather in the bank to collect that 2000 rupees.

3. some random transaction

some middle class or Sarpanch have some savings or RD in the bank. So to regulate the occasion is always busy counting money.
