Question :-

  • What is the quadratic polynomial whose sum and the product of zeroes is √2, (1/3) respectively ?

Formula used :-

  • Quadratic polynomial whose sum and the product are given is written as :- x² - (sum of zeros)x + Product of zeros = 0

Solution :-

Putting values we get :-

x² - (√2)x + (1/3) = 0

Taking LCM,

→ (3x² - 3√2x + 1) / 3 = 0

3x² - 3√2x + 1 = 0 (Ans.)

Hence, the Required Quadratic polynomial is 3x² - 32x + 1 = 0 .
