My mother is a homemaker and by observing her closely, I can confidently say that household responsibilities are no lesser than any job or profession in this world.
• Household work is a 24x7 and 365 days a year responsibility with no holidays whatsoever.
• Most of the times there is no incentive or reward for extra workload.
• Household tasks need all round temperament because of the endless variety of tasks involved.
It includes cooking, washing clothes and utensils, laundry work, cleaning, interior decoration, stitching, tailoring, nurse, tutor for kids and so on.
Workload of a housewife or homemaker can be reduced if all members of the family support her. Modern day electronic appliances reduce the workload of a household woman.

Women do both household and official works and most of the times this amounts to even greater than that of men.
Cooking, elaborate main courses, washing and also expansion of their home are some of the works they do.
It has been seen that full-time working women of Australia do 25 hours of household work per week, which is 6.4 hours even more than the menfolk of the household.
