Given A radio station broadcasts a signal over an area with a 120-mile diameter. The population density of the area is 100 people per square mile.

So radius = d/2

so r = 120/2 = 60 miles.

Area = π r^2

         = 3.14 x 60 x 60

         = 11,304 sq miles

So for 1 sq mile population density is 100 people

for 11,304 sq miles 11,304 x 100

    = 11,30,400 people

There are about 11,30,400 people.
