Hi Mate!
x² + y² + 2x + 4y = 3²
=>. ( x +1 ) ² + ( y + 2 ) ² = 9 +1 +4
=>. ( x + 1 ) ² + ( y + 2 ) ² = 14
on compairing this equation with this
( x - a ) ² + ( y - b )² = R²
we get
R = √ 14
x² + y² + 2x + 4y = 3²
=>. ( x +1 ) ² + ( y + 2 ) ² = 9 +1 +4
=>. ( x + 1 ) ² + ( y + 2 ) ² = 14
on compairing this equation with this
( x - a ) ² + ( y - b )² = R²
we get
R = √ 14
