What is the range of f(x) = Cos(x/3) ?

Answer:

the period T of cos nx is T= 2 pi /n

cos x/3 then n= 1/3 so t[1] = 2 pi / [1/3] =6 pi

cos x/4 yhen n=1/4 so t[2] = 2 pi/[1/4] =8 pi

the period T OF COS X/3 + cos x/4 is the L.C.M of t[1] and t[2] ,i.e of 6 pi and 8 pi

L.C.M[ 6 PI , 8 PI] = 24 pi

the period of cos x/3 + cos x/4 is T= 24 pi
