Let Age of

Father = x

Mother = y

son = Z

(X + Z) / 2 = 25

=》x+z = 50

(x+y)/2 = 40

=》x+y = 80

=》y = 80-x ----- (i)

(y+z) /2 = 24

=》 y+z = 48

SOLUTION

Interest for the last 5 years

 =  >  \frac{PRT}{100}  \\   =  >  \frac{360  \times 5 \times 6}{100}  = rs.108

Interest for year= (540-360)Rs.

=) 180Rs.

So, interest for first four years

=) (180-108)Rs.

=) Rs. 72

Now, rate for first four years

 =  >  \frac{(72 \times 100)}{360 \times 4}  \\  \\  =  > ( \frac{72 \times 25}{360} ) \\  \\  =  >  \frac{25}{5}  = 5\%

hope it helps ☺️
