what is the ratio between the frequencies of radiation with wavelength 6000 Angstrom and 2000 Angstrom​

Answer :

Wavelength of ratiation are 6000A° (λ) and 2000A° (λ').

We have to find ratio of frequencies of radiation.

We know that, Frequency of radiation is inversely proportional to the wavelength of radiation. f = c / λ

  • f is frequency
  • λ is wavelength
  • c is speed of light in vacuum

Here, speed of light in vacuum is constant so we can say that

➜ f / f' = λ' / λ

➜ f / f' = 2000/6000

f : f' = 1 : 3
