Given, Circumference of C1 = Circumference of C2

Now , 2πr1 = 2πr2

r1 = r2

now , area of circle1 = πr^2 = πr1^2

area of circle2 = πr^2 = πr2^2

Now,

ratio of their areas =

a1/a2 = πr1^2 / πr2^2

a1/a2 = r1/ r1 = 1

therefore,

a1 : a2 = 1:1
