The whole atmosphere we assume as 100%
In which nitrogen is 70% and oxygen is 30%(actually amount is 78.0 and 21.0 other gases of 1.0 approximate)
70%+30%=100%
So,the ratio of gases in atmosphere can be called as 70:30.
