When a body is thrown upwards, its velocity starts from zero and attains the maximum point till it reaches up and then come back downwards due to the gravitational force.
While coming downwards, the body drops with the same velocity till it reaches the resting point on the ground and its velocity becomes zero again.
The mass of the body remains constant throughout and the difference in velocities is also the same in both movements.
Hence, the times taken for going up and coming down of the same body are same as well.
