As per the given data,

  • λ₁ = 400Å
  • λ₂ = 8000Å

Electromagnetic waves or EM waves are produced when the electric field comes in contact with the magnetic field.

The speed of both the EM waves will be equal to the speed of light( 3 x 10⁸) in a vacuum.

Ratio of their velocities,

⇒ v₁ / v₂ =  3 x 10⁸/ 3 x 10⁸

⇒ v₁ / v₂ = 1

The ratio of velocities of two EM waves is 1.
