The rationalization factor of  \frac{3}{\sqrt{5} } is \frac{1}{\sqrt{5} }.

Given,

An irrational number: \frac{3}{\sqrt{5} }.

To Find,

The rationalization factor of the irrational number \frac{3}{\sqrt{5} } .

Solution,

The method of finding the rationalization factor of \frac{3}{\sqrt{5} } is as follows -

We know that when a real number is multiplied by an irrational number and the result is a rational number, that real number is called the rationalization factor of that irrational number.

Now observe that  \sqrt{5} in the denominator of the number \frac{3}{\sqrt{5} } is making this number an irrational number. So to get rid of the irrational part we can multiply the number by \frac{1}{\sqrt{5} } .

Then, \frac{3}{\sqrt{5} } *\frac{1}{\sqrt{5} }=\frac{3}{\sqrt{5} \ * \ \sqrt{5} } =\frac{3}{5}.

Hence, the rationalization factor of  \frac{3}{\sqrt{5} } is \frac{1}{\sqrt{5} }.
