The raw materials in a steel plant are; ore of the iron metal, coke, limestone and carbon.

• Steel is basically iron metal with some amount of carbon mixed in it.

• That's why iron ore is necessary,to extract the preliminary iron metal.

• During the extraction the limestone and coke are used to melt the iron ore and to seperate the impurities of the ore.

• After getting pure iron, the carbon is added to the iron to manufacture the steel as the final alloy product.
