What is the reaction between calcium carbonate and hydrochloric acid

when metal carbonate is reacted with hydrochloric acid then it forms the metal salt, caron di oxide and water so when calcium carbonate is heated it forms the calcium cloride and the carbondioxide + water

CaCO3 + hcl gives. CaO. + h2O + CO2
