“ I exclaim as a duplicate of me appears in a red flash with a burning Q left in the floor. “That’s-“ “freeaky!” My clone literally finished my sentence. “Okay, we need to rest this,” I say excitedly, rushing my clone to my computer and sitting them down. I tell my clone “Okay, try to-“ before I finish, my clone clacks my password into my computer with the same well-etched memory the keystrokes that I have. “Whoa!” We both say, my clone simply predicting my reaction and mouthing it.
My clone buddy and I spend the next few hours talking. It feels so great to have someone who actually gets you 100 percent of the time. “Hey!” My clone suddenly exclaims. “Let’s beat up those kids who stole our vape!” Both of us show up wearing dark sweatshirts the next way. Those two stoners were no match for the beating they then received. I am a tall person, coming up on 6’1 and 150lbs. I also have been taking various martial arts since I was seven, as well as going to a middle school with ex-juvy kids. Now there is two of me.
We excitedly dash off, rubbing our knuckles. We climb up onto the roof and sit next to each other, knees up halfway, arms resting on top, slouched back. We both take two long drags from our reclaimed property, blowing the zeroed vapor into the wind. “I needed that,” I say. My clone laughs. “What?! The long emotional conversation, the beat-down of those kids, or the nic?!” “I dunno. I guess all of it,” I say, giggling lowly as I do.
“Well, I have no idea how much longer you are going to be here, and I know what we’re both thinking.” My clone nods, grinning as both enbies hop down from the roof and head down towards my bedroom. “Let’ the living daylights out of each other.
