He was the son of King Bamni of Paurav dynasty and Queen Anusuya of Takshashila. He fought with Alexander the Great fiercely but somehow lost , but Alexander forgives him and gave him a special place in his army

Answer:

He is credited to have been a legendary warrior with exceptional skills. Porus fought against Alexander the Great in the Battle of the Hydaspes (326 BC), thought to be fought at the site of modern-day Mong, Punjab, which is now part of Pakistan. ... Porus reportedly died sometime between 321 and 315 BC.
