There are two general types of images :-

1) REAL IMAGE

➡ The image formed by a mirror which is always inverted and can be obtained on a screen is called Real Image.

➡ Images formed in a concave mirror (except when the object is placed between pole and focus) is REAL IMAGE.

➡ The image formed by a mirror which is always erect (upright) and cannot be obtained on a screen is called Virtual Image.

➡ Images formed in a plane mirror is VIRTUAL IMAGE.
