It is due to no of reasons.. 1) Efforts by govt. like the population policy of 2001, various population control campaigns, rewarding parents who have two or less than two children thus improving women's health and controlling population. 2) Education- the spread of education have made people aware about their reproductive health especially women thus they are taking more aware decisions about to their family planning. 3) Globalisation has impacted our cultural as well as societal notions and just western countries we are moving towards nuclear families. 4) Medical advancements has lead to innovative contraceptive methods which are readily available to common people. 5) As people are readily migrating from rural to urban areas they usually prefer to have nuclear and small families
