we can only see the front side of the Moon because of a phenomena known synchronous rotation, or tidal locking.
In this phenomena the Moon rotates about its own axis at the same rate as it revolves around the earth.

Moon continuously rotates around the earth,as it got light from the sun through one side so we easily get to see the light as well as only one side of moon.One side of moon is directly illuminated to the sun and the other side to the earth..
So this the reason behind that we can only see the front side of moon..
