what is the reason behind the blue colour of water?

7 colour present in the spectrum in order to vibgyor..(voilet , indigo, blue , green , yellow, orange, red).The wavelength of red colour is high and the wavelength of blue colour is low. so water strongly absorbed red colour wavelength in comparison to blue colour wavelength .when white light of sun enters in water blue colour is more reflected so the colour of water looks blue.
