As we know there are three types of valves in the heart, namely: Tri-cuspid valves, BI-cuspid vales, Semi-lunar valves. The semi-lunar valve is present in the right ventricle which connects the pulmonary artery. As the blood flows through it, obviously it has to close and open. So, the opening of the semi-lunar valve is Lub sound and the closing of semi-lunar valve is Dub sound. Combining together forms Lub-Dub sound.

Answer:

Normal heart sounds come in pairs. The sounds are often described as a constant “lub-dub, lub-dub.” The first “lub-dub” is the sound of the mitral and tricuspid valves closing
