Explanation:

Ah this is a good question

Ok so let's get started

First let look at what menstruation is?

Menstruation:

Every month the ovary gets ready for fertilization by releasing an egg,If the fertilization does not happen then the lining of the uterus breaks and causes what is called menstruation.

Now Fertilization: When male and female gamete fuses it forms a zygote. this zygote develops into the embryo and gets attached to the uterus.

So now for the main question why does menstruation happen?

It happens because the egg is not fused with a sperm.

So is there any need of menstruation when you are pregnant?

No because there is already a zygote which is forming into a foetus inside.

REMEMBER THIS POINT:FERTILIZATION IS MARKED BY THE ABSENCE OF MENSTRUATION IN FEMALES.

THANK YOU : )
