some substances are biodegradable whereas some are not because of the specific action of enzymes produced by the bacteria or the decomposers on them ,as they can break down the poisonous substances into the simple products .

thus some are biodegradable and some are not

♤ Substances which are organic are biodegradable.Exmaple :- Agricultural waste

♤ Substances which are inorganic are non bio degradable. Example :- Polythene bags

♤ Decomposers can utilise organic substances as their food while other substances cannot be utilised by Decomposers as food .

♤ Due to this reasons some substances are biodegradable while other are non bio degradable.
