RI of glass w.r.t to air = 3/2

RI of air w.r.t water = 1/(RI of water w.r.t air) = 1/(4/3) = 3/4

RI of glass w.r.t water = (RI of glass w.r.t air) × (RI of air w.r.t water)

                                    = (3/2) × (3/4)

                                     = 9/8.
