The Reign of Terror (September 5, 1793, to July 27, 1794) was a dark and violent period of time during the French Revolution. Radicals took control of the revolutionary government. They arrested and executed anyone who they suspected might not be loyal to the revolution.
    The first victim was Marie Antoinette. Across France, 30,000 people lost their lives.
