Answer:

in mks system, the units are measured in metre, kilogram and seconds whereas in cgs system it is measured in centimetre, gram and second. Every individual unit has its own relation with each other.

  • In the MKS system, the units for distance, time, and weight are measured in meters, Kilogram & Second.
  • Whereas in the CGS system the units for distance, time, and weight are measured in centimeters, grams & Seconds.
  • Every Individual unit has its own relationship with each other with respect to these two systems.
  • We know that,

        1 Meter=100 centimeters

        1 Kilogram=1000 grams

Whereas unit 'seconds' are same in the both systems

Relation between C.G.S and M.K.S unit of area:

  • If the measure of sides of the given figure is in Meters then the M.K.S. unit of the area would be meter^{2}.
  • If the measure of sides of the given figure is in Centimeters then the M.K.S. unit of the area would be centimeter^{2}.

Relation between C.G.S and M.K.S unit of volume:

  • If the measure of sides of the given figure is in Meters then the M.K.S. unit of the volume would be meter^{3}.
  • If the measure of sides of the given figure is in Centimeters then the M.K.S. unit of the volume would be centimeter^{3}.
