What is the relation between dc link voltage of inverter with induction motor speed?
Answers
The dc input voltage to the inverter in the pv systems is called the dc link voltage. Normally it comes from a DC to DC converter connected to the PV array as input and the inverter as an output.
The voltage level is of the dc link is determined by the output ac voltage of the inverter and not the power. That is VDC is determined by the required peak value of the output and the configuration of the inverter. As matter of a thumb rule DC ranges from the the peak value Vp of the output AC voltage to about 1.5 Vp.
You can see from this paper that the output voltage of the inverter is related to its DC input voltage and not the active power. It may be the grid power losses which depends on the input DC voltage.
This a logical result since the power is controlled not only by the voltage across the load but also with the current in the load.
