The relation between type of leaf venation and root system is that parallel venation is seen in the leaves of monocots and monocots have fibrous root system. Similarly reticulate venation is seen in the leaves of dicots and as we all know dicots have tap root system.

So those plants whose leaves have reticulate venation have tap root system. And those plants having parallel venation are having fibrous system.
