i am telling you what exactly is relation but literally..
as the depth of a body increases in liquid, the pressure on the the body increases..
we can say pressure is directly proportional to the depth....
example..
if you invert a plastic mug and push it in a bucket filled with water with its mouth facing towards bottom of bucket then as you will go more deep the pressure will also increase...you can try this right now...

The deaper the object is placed, we observe an higher liquid pressure. Its common scenario will be proportionate. The more dense liquid is the more the pressure is observed.
