Answer:

Relation between radius and diameter : Radius is from the center of the circle to the circle's edge. the DIAMETER is edge to edge with the line going through the radius. DIAMETER is TWICE the length of the RADIUS. or 2r where r is the radius of the circle.

We know, radius is the distance from the centre of a circle to any point on its circumference.

Also, diameter of the circle is a straight line which passes through centre and whose end points lie on the circle.

So, radius is half of the diameter.

Answer:

radius and diameter of a circle are different

Step-by-step explanation:

a line which passes though the middle of a circle (the center point) is known as its diameter.

a line which originates from the middle of a circle and meets any point on its circumference is called a radius

there can be multiple radii (plural of radius) and diameters in a circle

radius is half of the diameter

example: if the diameter of a circle is 8 cm

the radius will be 4 cm

the rough figure has been given for your reference. the green point is the center of the circle

red line is a radius

and black line is a diameter

I hope this helps :D
